How To Join
Dear Potential Gunslinger,
Are you over 18 and interested in an online gaming experience akin to "shooting the bull" with a group of drinking buddies? If so, then Gunslinger Gaming is the right place for you! Prior to signing up, please take the time to review our Guidelines. Click here to show or hide GS Guidelines.
Here's how you join:1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Register in our forum.
Yup, that's it. Once you do that you're a full fledged GS member. Welcome aboard!
Suggestions on what to do next:
1. Introduce yourself! Posting in the introduction thread in the forum is a wonderful way to start out in GS. Next, post your gaming contact within the relevant Master Contact section in the forum. Members are allowed one contact per game, so choose your most active account to share! A moderator will add your contact information to the master list for that game. Also, It's always helpful to let folks know you are a GS member when sending out friend invites.
2. Register with Chatango. GS uses Chatango for our text based chat, if you register you'll be able to create a profile and can private message other users. Again, this is not required, and you'll have full access to GS chat as a guest.
3. Provide your Skype contact in the forum. Although not required, many GS members use Skype to voice chat while gaming. Please keep in mind when you submit your voice chat contact (such as Skype) to Gunslinger Gaming, you are expected to act like a GS member while communicating. Meaning respect and maturity are required. If moderators or leaders notice habitual offensive behavior while voice chatting, this is grounds for potential removal from GS. No member is ever required to add another and it is up to you to decide who to add and/or delete as a contact.
If Skype isn't an option, Gunslingers hosts a Voice Chat feature which is provided by Voxli and requires no log-in, password or download. Check it out!
4. Join a tournament or event. This is a great way to get to know members, have some fun and let out the competitor in all of us. Check the Calendar often for information on upcoming events.
5. Finally, one overall piece of advice is to be proactive on the site. The more active you are, the more contacts you will make. Simply dropping off a friend code, gamertag or PSN might get you a few friends, but you'll be missing out on the best part of GS, the community! Introducing yourself in the forum, stopping by chat and sending a few pms can work wonders to enhance your experience.
6. You're a Gunslinger now, so all you really need to do is kick back, relax and have fun!
