I lost all interest in it when you mentioned you still have to maintain the liquid aspect of it. “Ain’t nobody got time for that” I work way to damn much to have to worry about changing the fluid in my computer being using itDaarkwind wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 8:12 amI get that. The idea of taking apart the GPU to put a block on it, is daunting. Jayz Two Cents was a great resource for understanding why W/C systems fail and what it takes to do it right. But when a CPU and GPU block cost close to $250, for both, for good quality -- meh I would have to be building a clocked monster to consider it. Plus most people dont get the that you have to maintain the liquid, just like a car, it has to be changed.DrInsan3no wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 12:07 amI couldn't imagine doing watercooling myself, I would definitely leave that to the professionals. Especially if something goes wrong.Daarkwind wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:57 pmI was against water cooling for a long time. I do like the sealed units, but after watching some videos. I am am game to do a full DIY cooling. I would want to try it on rig #2 first. Also the cost for good water blocks, fittings and other stuff is a bit high. To do a full water cool for my #1 rig would have been more than I want to think about.
Still it has its fascination with me and the tinkerer/creative side of me wants to give it a go at some point.
