Alright PC gamers. My computer has finally stopped working. It’s time to buy a new one. I’ve been looking at a couple options on New Egg (prebuilt; I haven’t the time to build or even the know how to do it) and have come to a crossroads. I can either get one PC for 1000 CAD (754 USD) with either a GTX 1660 Super or RX 580 (they’re the same price, same specs just different card) OR I can get a PC for 1200 CAD (905 USD) with an RX 5700.
I know the 5700 will get me better results. I don’t care if I can get 4K but I would like at least 1080 at high to ultra settings at a decent frame rate. I guess what I want to know is if the 5700 will give me mind blowingly better results that I’d be kicking myself forever if I went with the other two cards.
Any help or advice would of course be appreciated.

Also I’ll need a new monitor. I found a Westinghouse 1440p monitor, 144hz refresh, 32 inch that’s reasonably priced. Anyone use one of these before?

had a Westinghouse tv for a while good build quality but never used it as a monitor or anything like that.
Now on to the PC, of the 2 cards, the 1660 super and the 5700 are both solid cards, however ii feel like the 5700 is better than the 1660 super. the 5700 will easily hit what you need it to do. i currently have 5700xt in my rig and even with my fx-9590 it still pull great frames and looks amazing at 1080p.
what are the CPU's that both rigs have in them? or can you post links to them so we can check them out?
But either way stay away from the 580, it's an old card that is aging at this point.

Thanks Gobi.
Here’s the 5700

And here’s the 1660 Super

I’m leaning to the 5700 but I’m just not sure. Both look good to me.
My other question would be, whichever one I get, how easy or viable would it be, when the time comes, for me to upgrade the card. Will I need to upgrade anything else along the way?

I mean it's basically screaming GS at you
That looks decent and all and after customizing to a spec that seems a good buy it came to around $1500 for me. With that budget I'd recommend checking out iBuypower.

I bought one of their boxes on a sale day (they have several major holiday sales) and it was a great deal. Still use the same box and its water-cooled and kicks ass a few years later. Worth it for me for sure.
Monitor-wise not sure what your budget is but I went with a 34inch curved Acer Predator and its a beast! I love it.

The problem I discovered with building a PC vs just buying one, particularly on a place like New Egg, is that I don’t save very much. I priced out a similar PC to a couple I had chosen and they all came in at maybe two or three bucks different.

I just built a new system. I used this site to checkk the compatibility of my parts. You could play around with it and see what you could build on your own for around the price point your shooting for. Here's my parts list. Good luck
