For me I think it was a mission with Jack, the little boy. Later their are other options.

My first tame was the legendary white Arabian. My first thought was White Lightning... Moonshine... Moon... M. O. O. N. spells horse... her name is Moon. I also bought the black Arabian and named him Nope, and a spotted one from Strawberry that I named Pig.

Had the same problem, did the whole deal with my sleeves rolled up. Cooked up some meat and kept eating when I'd start getting low on health.
