We've made through another work week, and, typically, I like to view the end-of-the-week gaming as Frosty Pints fun. So, I thought tonight would be a good time to pose the following question:
What's your opinion on alcoholic seltzers?
I ask because I used to crack open a can of beer or a bottle of ale as I relax to some gaming. The beer gut, however, doesn't go away and quickly as it used to in my old age, and I don't want to undo all the weight I have trimmed off lately. Lately, I have switched from brews to seltzers. Has anyone else done the same?
Don't get me wrong. I would much rather have a frosty pint than a fizzling pint, but choices need to be made. Tonight, for example, I am drinking Ashland Hard Seltzer. Made in San Diego, CA. Zero sugar. Zero carbs. 5% alcohol. 99 calories per can.

I'm not a huge drinker, if I do, it's mostly Captain Morgan Dark Rum and Ginger Ale.
I've actually never had a Seltzer. Perhaps I should see what all the "craze" is about.

That’s going to be a pass on my part. I can’t stand regular seltzer water so I highly doubt I’d enjoy a hard seltzer. If I’m trying to go lower calorie I would probably get a diet ginger beer or diet tonic. A nice Irish or Kentucky mule or a gin and tonic are my preferred relaxing drinks.

I find seltzers to be a good base for a mixed drink. A couple ounces of vodka in a can of seltzer is a nice refreshing beverage. Of course, there's only so many you can drink before your gaming skills begin to show a decline.

I had to make sure we were talking about alcoholic seltzers. That's a yes from me, but regular seltzer is a big no. The only thing I won't drink that has alcohol is like tomato juice or milk, like clamato drinks or coffee brandy. I just went and saw Alanis and I had a bunch of white claws hahaha.

Not my bag. If I want a fruity drink, then I want max sugar where I can really taste the sweetness. I prefer tonic to club soda in general.

Beer, preferably one I've brewed. I get the choices being made, I'm just making different ones, for better or worse.
