I think you just go to the Barracks and change you clan tag to GS. There is no specific set ups required aslong as a you are a member. That is all I did.

I am trying to level each weapon and unlock all the cameos and I'm working on this horrible weapon. Does anyone have any tips to make this weapon viable or will this turn into a slog of high deaths and getting fussed at over team chat?

Hey DragonDadda, Welcome to GS! Best suggestion for you is to visit the masterlists for the games you play and start sending out friend requests (include you are GSer) and send invites. Using the masterlists you should be able to find GSers playing the games you are. If you select GSers that are most recent to adding themselves to the list you are most likely to find players still active on those games.

You can definitely send me a friend request. Lately I have been playing mostly with my sons on Borderlands, Division 2, Anthem and other new Xmas purchases, but I am always up for Battlefield and can have my arm twisted to play COD. Again Welcome to GS and Happy New Year!

It tough but you need to find the middle ground between the effective range of the rest of the ARs and the snipers. You'll get beat by RoF in closer encounters by the ARs and you'll get bet at long range by the snipers power. It's not really a "run and gun" weapon in my experience. Find yourself a good spot with some open sight lines and patrol it.
