@dunkaroo69 and @gobi42
I just added a computer desk, to my exercise room.
First time, i have used a actual desk with, monitor.
in nearly 20 years. (I am loving it .
In regard to choosing a PC monitor @@dunkaroo69 ,
Everyone is upselling the following statistics:
1millisecond (1ms) lag.
240 megahertz (240mhz), refresh rate.
and then there is..
1080p vs 4k picture quality.
I recently purchased a ASUS Rog, 28inch 4k gaming monitor.
it came with, 1(ms) lag thingy.. but the refresh rate was
only 60 megahertz. and i paid $300 even.
Overall, I'm using a old laptop via HDMI and a Xbox-X
so It's ok, for my use. But i hear you guys, about wanting
to upgrade my PC, to a gaming Rig.
Would be really a privilage, to chat with some old guys
from Gunslinger Gaming, on what-ever console or PC, that everyone is one these days.
PS: If/when.. I do get a gaming rig. I'm going.. full-tilt
and spending about 3,000.. best i can do at the moment, and
i will probably hold on to my ASUS monitor.
Happy Gaming : )

I saved some money on going 1440p instead of 4k but went with the higher refresh rate. I picked up a Dell from Best Buy on a great sale for about $270. 1440p, 165hz, <1ms response time. I am waiting for the sale to happen again so I can pick up a second one.

@BOM Tank yes, it's all up to user preference.
If I am correct, the Xbox Series X (2021 console) will have 144 megahertz refresh rate, capability.
Just here to be a positive gamer, and help others.
In regards to my relationship, with the gaming industry as a consumer. I support them, best I can.
Same said about the friend ratio on Online friendships.
I've lost more than I've won, I feel like i am a humble person,
and I try my best to be on a person's level. <3

The value in building yourself over buying is that you know exactly which components are being used. The Pre-builts can use bottom shelf components where you pick all the build components. There are videos from LTT, BitWit, and others reviewing some pre-built computers and showing how they can cheap out components. I am not saying never buy a pre-built, but just something to think about.
Also generally the higher priced components will show bigger savings over pre-built usually. You can also upgrade easier (i.e. the case will be a standard size and standard layout, so you can replace the motherboard, CPU, GPU, PSU a lot easier for future use or repairs).
Lastly, if you are brave, you can flash the 5700 with the 5700XT bios and yield ever more performance over the other 2 cards you were referring to.
