Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee

So I wasn't planning on getting the Go Versions of this Pokemon game. But then I ended up getting Let's Go Pikachu, because I am a sucker for a fantastic looking game and Pokemon.

I played Pokemon Go for about a week, thought I was kind of cool, but I'm not a mobile gamer. And I was really worried that the Let's Go games would be a really watered down experience. I am glad to say I have been proven somewhat wrong.

The game looks and plays fantastically. The world of Pokemon has never felt so alive before. Wandering around with your partner pokemon on your shoulder while another of your poke party runs/flies/rolls around with you is a pretty cool touch! While it is somewhat easier than the actual RPG versions (The next iteration in the franchise is due to launch next year), even with the Go elements, it is still very enjoyable.

I picked up the Pikachu edition mainly because one of the version exclusives was Growlithe, whom I love, which in hindsight was silly as I prefer Eevee as a Poke, but whatever!

Who else has picked up this game or is planning on getting it?

Picked up the eevee edition since the wife wanted the pikachu edition. I really enjoy the changes especially the no more random encounters bit. Getting shinys is a lot easier as well (catch 35-40 of same pokemon and it will appear) overall very impressed.

I’ve picked up the Eevee edition, but won’t be able to play it till Christmas, as we’ve bought the Pikachu version for him. Ive been playing the main series games for a few years now and I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about this version. Looking forward to getting stuck in now ;)

I thought I would really dislike some of the changes, but in all honesty, I love them. No more random encounters is fantastic!

I had no idea about the shiny system. That is pretty cool!

That's sort of where I was at with it. I was quite apprehensive about the Go integration. But I am happily enjoying it.

It's definately worth it even if just for some reminisce feels. ;)

I have the Pikachu version and absolutely love it! I just beat the Pokemon League and am still playing a ton.

As a huge Pokemon Go Player, I still see PoGo as my main Pokemon Game right now. I've literally spent years working on my Pokemon Library on there vs. the days I've spent playing Let's Go.

While I find the battles a lot easier. It may actually be the catching that is the most challenging aspect of the game. I truly am enjoying it.

Great nostalgia trip. I was probably 16 or something when Red/Blue came out, so I didn't really keep up with the series since that was when life started getting in the way, but I did love that game. Really cool to go back and hang out in Kanto.
