Custom Switch Shell

another fun project to make your switch just a little unique is to completely replace the shell. If you have steady heads and a somewhat understanding how ribbons work it is a fairly simple task.

the replacement kit i used was a basstop one which included a few extra screws.

Oh man, there are some neat looking covers out there. My Switch warranty runs out at the end of December. I reckon I will take a serious look at this once that has ended!

The only hard part is the joycons you have to be super careful with the ribbons and the tiny spring in the bumpers can be a pain as far as the screen portion goes its zero risk if you dont feel comfortable with working with ribbons

Looking into buying a new shell to put on my Switch now that my warranty has expired. There are some very cool designs out there!

They now make d-pad left joy con kits I'm tempted to redo mine but not sure it's worth the hassle lol.
