another fun project to make your switch just a little unique is to completely replace the shell. If you have steady heads and a somewhat understanding how ribbons work it is a fairly simple task.

the replacement kit i used was a basstop one which included a few extra screws.

The only hard part is the joycons you have to be super careful with the ribbons and the tiny spring in the bumpers can be a pain as far as the screen portion goes its zero risk if you dont feel comfortable with working with ribbons

They now make d-pad left joy con kits I'm tempted to redo mine but not sure it's worth the hassle lol.
