Voted for story as that's what makes me finish games, but if the gameplay isn't fun & functional enough, fat chance of getting to the end!

For me it has to be, game play and then story. A good story will only get you so far if the controls or game mechanics are shoddy. Graphics don't bother me too much is they aren't great.

For sure a tough choice. If I had to choose, I'd lean towards a good story. If a developer is able to produce a story line that sucks you into the game, makes you think, makes you emotionally attached....thats a sign that the game is great. With what they are able to do today with graphics, its just an added bonus.

Have you guys ever played Stardew Valley? It could not look any more pixelated, but you don't even want to know how many hours I "accidentally" Dumped into it. (its over 200)

And it doesn't matter how good the story is if the gameplay is so bad you can't even complete the story without pulling your hair out.
