Not sure how good these are, but for $20 for open box, recertified units, it may be worth a try https://shop.1sale.com/products/steelse ... s-next-day
Thats a great steal.

I loved the Astro A40's when I had them they're right around where you budget is, but if you can afford a little more I highly recommend the Astro A50's. They're super light weight, so it won't hurt your head/neck if you have them on for 8+ hours.

Literally just picked this up yesterday: https://au.creative.com/p/gaming-headse ... nt-edition

Best headset I have ever owned. Couple it with the audio software and a creative sound card (which I have) and the sound quality is just phenomenal!

Anyone in the market for a gaming headset, BestBuy has the Astro A50's on sale for $199 which is a great deal for these. The regular price for these is $299, and typically the best I see them on sale is $249, now the debate if I need another gaming headset.

The steelseries Arctis 7 is on sale again for $100 at Amazon.

So I recently picked up a modmic 5, it's interesting and I have yet to really use it so I won't recommend it just yet but, it does let you turn basically any headset into a gaming headset. Had both uni and Omni directional mics on it(flip a switch and it changes them on the fly) in line hardware mute button, however it's modular so you can remove the mute switch if you want. Attached to the headphones of your choice with a magnetic mount. Comes with 2 mounts and a bunch of the sticky stuff to put the mount on the head phones.
