sounds fun. do you find that hitting the same spots repeatedly gives you a good feel where to get that gun within seconds of landing? if you have any tips on which areas to drop in a specific named position i'd love to add it to my game. i assume you're on xbox? i'm ps4 with this game, but no one is talking about this game on that sides sub forum. please honcho's, give black ops 4 and bfv representation in the supported games section.
Yep, I’m on the Xbox side. So, just some opinions from someone who’s no Jedi....I’ve only played Solo, have about 140 or so matches and 7 or so wins under my belt.
Loot can be very random with each map, and I honestly have not studied up on spots that are known to carry rare guns consistently, but that said I tend to drop in the same places which end up covering all my bases. The most consistent loot spots I’m comfortable with are:
1. Train Station - ignore the big train station building and shoot for the far red train to the east or the roof of the garage/building over where that train is. There is usually plenty of weapons, ammo, and armor over there, and many games a stash will spawn in the garage at the end of the red train/last box car immediately inside the wall. The minute you’re comfortable, hunt down whoever else landed at the train station and get ready for first collapse. (Hot drop factor: 5 out of 10)
2. Asylum - can be a popular spot if the flight path’s directly over it, but even if so there are options to quickly get looted up. If I’m first landing, I’ll enter Asylum from the eastern open window where the doctor’s chair is, look around for a shotty/SMG/armor if I’m lucky and listen for footsteps. Many like to head upstairs and can be caught looting with their pants down in corners. If I happen upon a Dead Silence I’ll pop it straight away to guarantee surprise. If the main building’s got plenty of open parachutes, shoot for the standalone building to the northeast or even the garden maze. (Hot drop factor: 7 out of 10)
3. Array - aim for the doors just outside the center building, head in, and loot up that main level. Each time you open doors close them behind you to catch people who happen to have the same idea off guard. Finish winding around, head down the internal stairs, loot over by the garage door and then underground and back up to the front entrance. Then listen for footsteps to hunt. If nothing is doing, loot the standalone garages to the west first. (Hot drop factor: 5 out of 10)
If you want frantic action right as you drop, the first named locations of your flight path followed by Firing Range, Farm and Rivertown (the middle named areas of the map) are usually the ticket in my experience.
