The Game That Defines Nintendo For You

Do you recall all the wasted hours on the games and consoles of the past? Everything from the first Playstation and the Nintendo 64 to the NES and the Dreamcast is fair "game" here.

Please forgive the lame pun.

I never had any Nintendo system besides the good old original. On that system, my favorites were Zelda 2, Metroid, and by far my favorite: Blaster Master - sick, sick game. I still play it on an emulator from time to time.

F-Zero

Both versions (SNES & N64) were ground breaking in their day. I miss tge dauys when Nintendo were the drivibng force of gaming.

Also Wave Race on the N64 were pretty amazing

For me I'd have to say Duck Hunt for the NES. It was the game that helped convince my parents to buy me and my brother an NES. Although with the Wii Nintendo has really become synonymous with casual and family gaming but the fact is they've always had a more or less accessible system with games that, like Duck Hunt, allowed all members of a household to play together. Duck Hunt was such a simple game to understand and learn. And if you had a family hat was concerned about violent content, which wasn't really an issue in the 80's (we had Rambo chewing gum for crying out loud) you could always shoot clay pigeons instead of ducks. And who can forget the first time you learned that by plugging in a standard controller a human player could control the ducks?

An old post that I could not miss out on.

The Adventure of Link.

This is the game I played every chance I could. I was just a toddler and the SNES just hit the shelf but my parents got me a NES just for me. This was the game that turned me onto all types of games from shooters to the RPGs how ever sports games never stuck to me I would always rage quit because it was just easier to play in real life. Mega Man X for the SNES was the first of the title that I ever played for some reason the Mega Man for NES was nowhere to be found in that era. To this day my all time favorites are these 2 games.

Super Mario Bro, Mega man and LOZ sealed my fate. The Super Nintendo really drove it home.

@Sincity, I was lucky enough to get a SNES AND Genesis on the same Christmas. I took the SNES and my brother took the Genesis. Sounds crazy, but we were addicted to the Lion King game which was actually really good and Gunstar Heroes. I think the Genesis ultimately got more attention.
