Announcing the Gunslingers Merchandise Competition.
We are holding a competition to recognise the collection of gifted people we have at Gunslinger Gaming.
This is an opportunity to let your creative juice loose.
There is already a site for GS Merchandise HERE, but your input would update it.
So what do you need to do?
This post is quite long as I wanted to cover all the possible questions. That leaves you all more time to get creative.
When is it running?
Competition is open now and will run for the summer, closing on Labor Day September 3rd 2012.
(We can however extend this in exceptional circumstances)
What can I put up for submission?
The Zazzle site has a massive amount of create your own merchandise. Have a look around, it could be a t-shirt, mug, key-ring anything! Just think, would I buy that?
There are two categories for submissions
One: Gunslingers specific merchandise, to embrace the idea behind the site.
Two: Original merchandise, anything else.
What is not allowed?
Nothing inflammatory or offensive. No copyright protected images. For example you can’t make a Battlefield 3 t shirt using their name or images from the game.
What about the GS logo?
You don’t have to use it, you can create a new one if you like, update it. If you do want to use the existing one, sample JPEG’s will be available.
How do I make it?
You can build it in zazzle. Just set up your own account, (which is free) and get creating. When you're done, email the link(s) to me. You do not post the item for sale. Any queries, send me a PM or email.
Can I use any software?
Whatever works for you. Just send me a completed JPEG or photobucket link.
Where do I send my work of genius?
Email the link, image or whatever you have to me.
gs.capt.scarlet@gmail.com.
All addys will be kept confidential. I will email you back to confirm receipt and that I can see your work.
What about copyright?
Regarding copyright, simple. If it's not an entirely original creation it isn’t permitted.
(Thanks to Conbrio for definition)
Do I get credit for my work?
The original section will have your forum tag showing as the creator, we could even put it on the item if there was space, something to be decided later.
All the entries will be posted to an album on our facebook site, you can then share them as you wish.
What happens to the money?
All money made from the zazzle site will be used to support the GS site and gaming servers as required. All of it will be put back into the site over time.
Who owns the rights to the merchandise?
Once you have submitted your work, the intellectual rights belong to gunslingergaming.com. So you cannot sell the item anywhere else.
Who is judging the work?
The GS staff will review and discuss all the submitted work. We will try and include as many items as possible for upload to the site.
The judge’s decision is final, and if an item is not accepted a private message will be sent to the submitter clearly explaining why.
I hope we do not have to reject any.
Who wins?
There will be 2 winners, one for each category.
Because we don’t want to limit the creativity, we are not setting ‘winning criteria’.
And as the saying goes, THAT ALL FOLKS!!!
