I am currently reading The Once and Future King by TH White. it is based around the king Arthur saga. I am early into it but liking it so far.

for fantasy readers I want to restate how much I LOVED the first law trilogy. the characters are awesome and its a well balanced mix of politics, war strategy, and mysticism.

Finally started on A Game of Thrones - Only took me about 3-4 years, from when I bought the book and some of the sequels, lol

Just finished reading the first two Liaden Universe Constellations. Debating re-reading sections of Carpe Diem by the same authors before getting the third volume.

Reading some books about computational fluid dynamics, and some papers about the "WTF" star (the star that probably doesn't have Alien megastructures around it). That's for work. (Giving a pubic talk in Second Life tomorrow about the WTF star.)

For fun, just finished reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. (Obscure book that few have heard of, right?) I'd never read it before.

Not sure what I'll dive into next; probably something fluffy and fun, such as Chris Jackson's "Pirate's Island"

Just finished The United States of Japan. It's a spiritual successor to Man in the High Castle that reimagines the 80s as if Japan had won the war in the pacific through the reckless use of nuclear torpedos and mechs. I enjoyed it. picked it up for the mecha action, but stuck around because of the interesting political drama. Trying to decide which way I'm going next. Just got Arkwright in the mail, but I also probably need to finish The Aeronaut's Windlass.

Finishing up Arkwright by Alan Steele. It's a new Hard Sci-Fi novel from this year, with a realistic (and super interesting) take on our need and efforts to colonize the universe. It's also a wonderful tribute to classic sci-fi fandom.

I read Ready Player One and Armada by Ernest Cline. Both were good, Armada got a bit heavy with the sci-fi references though. Now I'm rereading the prefered authors text of Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.

I'm currently playing Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Neverwhere is fantastic, as is anything written by Gaiman. If you haven't yet, definitely give American Gods and the Ocean At The End of the Lane a read. Both are two of my favorite books ever written.

I'm currently reading The Hatching by Ezekiel Boone
