Hey, a blog! by sowayan on Mon Mar 10, 2014 8:51 pm
So, most of my "real life" circle of friends are gamers in one form or another, be they tabletop RPG gamers, LARP'ers, PC or console gamers or hobby board gamers. And with all this that I have in common with them, they still don't see the terrible beauty that is Metro: Last Light. The moment I read the synopsis for the game in Game Informer I was in love. Sadly, I did not have it in my gaming budget so I did not get a chance to play until it came out for free on PSN+. Good god of gaming, the first play through was nearly a religious experience. I have always been a fan of the apocalyptic genre in all its catastrophic forms and Metro: Last Light delivered on every level. Second only to the Killzone series, Metro: Last Light is the best FPS campaign I have ever played. Am I alone in this sentiment?

MisterYoda's Week One Game Blog by MisterYoda on Mon Jan 13, 2014 4:49 am
I haven't done this in a long while with life things catching up and such but I thought I would give it a whirl since I generally agree and disagree with Gunslingers on what is going on in the game industry.

Down year for shooters this year. EXPLAIN YODA! This year's shooter have been a very big miss with most gamers. Battlefield 4 is great however it needed another 2 to 3 months to be a finished product. Right now it is not. So many problems across the board for it that it has fallen from grace. Lag across all platforms, frame rate issues, lack of a party system, and freezing at the beginning was just nuts. EA has a great engine and franchise and look for this one when they finally complete all the patches.

Call of Duty franchise has really been falling down by cranking game after game that they are EXTREMELY repetitive. Map designs were pretty big from the launch however, they were too big. Then add the 15 second round start (just nagging on that), lag matches, same old multiplayer,...
