Hello! by DBO on Tue Dec 31, 2013 4:22 pm
Hello everyone! I recently got my PS4 and am playing BF4/Ghosts. I crossed platforms and left microsoft for sony this go around. I only have a few people to play these games with and I'm a competitive gamer and just enjoy some good old fashioned teamwork. If anyone needs an addition or is in the same boat as me, add me on PSN.

Achievement: Backlog Complete (almost)! by Pikan Rikan on Thu Jan 02, 2014 4:41 pm
Backlog: a FWP where gamers buy more games than they can play or complete. Caused by the rapid release of games and sales made available.

When I got my Xbox 360 in November 2012, I knew I was very late to the party, but I was very excited to play modern games and especially, Halo 4. The problem looming over my head however: I amassed a big backlog of Wii games since I was simply going to wait a few years until I got another console. The 360 was a surprise; my wife bought me Halo 4 for my b-day hoping it would inspire me to get the console, which I did. I was looking forward to a whole new library of 360 games but I was afraid my backlog would simply grow and I would never finish any game.

My concern is that gaming can be a costly hobby, and when I spend my hard-earned money on a game, I want to be able to play it, not let it sit on a self (or a hard drive) collecting dust. It's just a $50-$60 paperweight and that's a waste in my eyes as I could have spent that money on my family...

random forgetten things by gobi42 on Mon Mar 19, 2018 5:10 pm
So out of the blue i get a comment on a guide i wrote years ago for a great little indie game on steam called insurgency. Noting big or fancy, but i wrote a guide on how to setup a xbox controller in the game so you had native support. Added in some custom alias for useful stuff and how to reconfigure things like sensitivity and invert look. Guy had a question cause he was using it to setup a controller and somethings weren't working. So i answered with the best i could with the little info but offered to look at the files for them. As i scrolled up i seen that it has been viewed over 2500 times and had a 4 star rating. That made me smile a bit, was a good feeling knowing that the hour it took me to write that guide has helped at least 1 other person get more out of a game. This small little indie game has given me a few great memories. I was playing on an empty server and had some random's join me, we moved from checkpoint to checkpoint as we neared the last couple of checkpoints i heard...

MisterYoda's Week One Game Blog by MisterYoda on Mon Jan 13, 2014 4:49 am
I haven't done this in a long while with life things catching up and such but I thought I would give it a whirl since I generally agree and disagree with Gunslingers on what is going on in the game industry.

Down year for shooters this year. EXPLAIN YODA! This year's shooter have been a very big miss with most gamers. Battlefield 4 is great however it needed another 2 to 3 months to be a finished product. Right now it is not. So many problems across the board for it that it has fallen from grace. Lag across all platforms, frame rate issues, lack of a party system, and freezing at the beginning was just nuts. EA has a great engine and franchise and look for this one when they finally complete all the patches.

Call of Duty franchise has really been falling down by cranking game after game that they are EXTREMELY repetitive. Map designs were pretty big from the launch however, they were too big. Then add the 15 second round start (just nagging on that), lag matches, same old multiplayer,...
