Showing off my summer project by tick221 on Sun Aug 18, 2013 12:33 pm
Well I finally finished it, took way longer than I thought it would but with only a one man crew that can happen I guess. The pool was put in last summer and that was far easier than the deck was. I'm very looking forward to fall, sitting on my ass and playing games with my fellow GS

The One Where I Won A PS4! by Handil on Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:06 am
W00t!

So happy! As some of you may know, I live in sunny Southern California. To me, snow is something you drive to, not something that naturally occurs at home. I live in a wonderful area where I can be at either the beach or in the snow in an hour during the "winter".

So a few weeks ago, it snowed. SNOWED! A few inches even! It had been literally a DECADE since snow had touched the ground here in Temecula, and that was less then an inch. It just so happened that I was scheduled to open the golf shop that morning. Once I arrived at work, I was inspired by the beauty! I ran outside (really I walked gingerly, scared of slipping) and took 15 or 20 photos.

I showed these photos to coworkers and friends, and everyone loved them. The VP of the hotel division (which golf falls under) came up, shook my hand, and told me he was proudly using my photo as his desktop. I know, I know, not a big deal, unless you know the guy.

About a week later, I saw a memo in the company flier. It said...

4 lines and a funeral in the Saarlac pit by fasnes on Mon Dec 16, 2013 9:21 am
Boba Fett only lines in Star Wars:

"As you wish"
"He's no good to me dead"
"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me"
"Put Captain Solo in the Cargo Hold."

Thank you.

Paying it forward....... by mikelaird1 on Fri Jul 19, 2013 9:48 am
I was thinking about something that I did the other day which prompted me to ask how many of you have actually done something to impact someones lives without even knowing it.Long story somewhat short they have a single girl with a newborn baby that recently moved in next door to us she was donated the house till she could get on her feet by someone.Anyways me being the OCD person I am about my grass and yard I noticed hers was starting to reach the 6 inch mark in height.I told my wife one day I said I think I am going to cut her grass to help her out.Anyways I get home one day on a hot sweltering day and find her outside with a pos pushmower trying to cut her grass. My wife approaches me and says baby she has been outside for an hour trying to cut grass with no success and her poor baby has cried for an hour underneath an open shed in the heat.So I tell my wife tell her I am going to cut it bring her baby in the house where its cool.So my wife goes and tells her and she starts crying anyways...

My fav games/idea for a new console by Balki on Tue Jul 23, 2013 8:26 pm
Excluding mario kart, two of my all time fav games is Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Apparently galaxy is the true successor to Super Mario 64. But to me the unofficial successor was Banjo Kazzooie, as was Perfect Dark to Goldeneye and Diddy Kong Racing to Mario Kart 64.

The HD versions of Banjo and Perfect Dark on Xbox Live Arcade are amazing! Which makes me think, I wish they would just release a HD Nintendo 64. Perhaps with every 64 game ever built in, remade in HD.

Star Wars Rouge Squadron needs a HD remake, I think it's one the best Star Wars games of all time. Sure the gamecube versions looked amazing but something i can't put my finger on was missing from the cube versions that the 64 had.
